Tim has a special interest in international collaborations. He is a regular visitor to the European festival scene, and has often brought European performers to UK events, and to appear at festivals. He has coordinated residency programmes and participatory projects with German circus artists, French puppeteers, and Spanish fire artists.

He developed a programme of visits by Nottinghamshire artists to the Valencia Fallas in Spain which led to Burning Desires - a Fire and Light Festival with 5 disadvantaged communities from the former Coalfield area of North Notts, in 2006.

In turn this led to an invitation to develop the 2007 North Hull Fire festival which took place across a disadvantaged area of Hull. The project involved 8 artists, 4 local schools, a youth club, and Surestart with a procession, fire drawings and fireworks. Attended by over 2000 people, the festival was supported by Hull City, Arts Council Yorkshire, Awards for All, Hull Youth Music and participating schools.  The Festival is now seeking funding for 2008, with a rollout in other parts of the City in 2009/10.

He has also undertaken research into the employment opportunities and networks for creative projects in Europe, producing the International Horizons report. This focused on the skills of the Nottingham/Nottinghamshire creative sector, and their capacity to deliver regeneration agendas in other countries and was supported by One Nottingham, and New deal for Communities.
